ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE ADDICTION COUNSELING

One common definition of Addiction is: "the loss of control and compulsive use of mind-altering chemical(s) coupled with the inability to stop the use in spite of the fact that such use is causing problems with one's life. Addiction can be a physical and/or psychological dependence of a chemical substance."
Front Range Counseling Center (FRCC) is a Christian "Christ centered" substance abuse and addiction outpatient counseling treatment for addicts, alcoholics, and their codependent loved ones. The counselors at FRCC understand how destructive an addiction can be, and how overwhelming it can be to seek proper help. Even though each addict is unique in their struggle, all share in the same feelings of hopelessness, pain and shame experienced in the midst of an addiction. We believe that there is a Solution! Drug and alcohol abuse is like every other human malady. It is just one more symptom of an inner disturbance of our relationship with God. Sin is involved. We have no natural ability to say no to sin. If we did, we wouldn't get hooked on drugs in the first place. Drugs and alcohol are false gods who do not deliver what they promise. They will not be displaced unless replaced by a different God, the one who sent Jesus.
The goal of our treatment program is to successfully process emotional issues, break the delusions of denial, begin a process of forgiveness and develop new, healthy lifelong patterns of thinking and living. A typical treatment plan incorporates one-on-one counseling, 12-step recovery group, addiction education, and partner and family counseling (if needed). If required detox is required, we can provide several referrals to high quality inpatient centers that specialize in detox programs.
Those who have a drug abuse / alcohol dependency need to first realise and admit that they have a problem that they can not overcome on their own.
